The Sayed Zainab Mosque Development Project

The Sayyida Zainab Mosque in Cairo is one of the largest and most renowned mosques in the Egyptian capital. It is attributed to Sayyida Zainab, the daughter of Ali ibn Abi Talib, and is situated in the Sayyida Zainab neighborhood, which was named after the revered figure whose shrine lies within the mosque. Centrally located in the neighborhood, the mosque faces the well-known Sayyida Zainab Square. The current project involves comprehensive restoration and maintenance works, including the exterior and interior façades, architectural details, roof, and flooring, ensuring the preservation of the mosque’s historical and cultural significance.
