Qanater charity one of the cities of the province of Qaliubiya , the area where the branches of the Nile River to the sub – branch of Rosetta and Damietta Branch , derives its name from the aqueduct built by Mohammed Ali Pasha , the city, controls the flow of water to the three main Raahat in the Nile Delta ( Menoufi , compromise , Buhairi ) and is characterized by large areas It is very close to gardens and parks, and is considered one of the most important crossings for the middle of the Delta , which is about 20 km from Cairo .A defect appeared in some of the Qanatir al-Khairiya eyes in 1867 due to the pressure of the water, so Khedive Ismail directed his care to remedy this defect, and entrusted this to the engineers of his time, namely: Mogil Bey (and he had left Egypt for France ), Bahjat Pasha , and Mazhar Pasha , Then Mr. Fuller, the English engineer, accomplished this reform during the reign of Khedive Ismail .
