Saad Zaghloul moved into this house in 1902, and his wife, Safiya Zaghloul, bequeathed that it become a museum bearing witness to the struggle and sacrifices of the nation&#8217;s sons for independence and liberation. The government of the July Revolution declared it a national museum, housing furniture, personal belongings, important documents, photographs, a library of rare books, and numerous medals, honors, and personal gifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The museum was inaugurated in its new form on January 16, 2003, with the addition of an important cultural venue through the adaptive reuse of the house&#8217;s basement as the Saad Zaghloul Cultural Center.
