About Dr.Ashraf

DR. Ashraf Shawky

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shawky is a distinguished civil engineer, consultant, and academic with more than 35 years of experience in consultancy and project management. He began his career in 1986, working with one of the region’s leading consulting firms before pursuing his PhD in Civil Engineering at Tokyo University, Japan.

Throughout his 35+ year career, Dr. Ashraf Shawky has managed and supervised over 2,000 projects of all scales—from new cities, airports, hospitals, and power plants to infrastructure networks and historical restorations—bridging technical excellence with cultural sensitivity to serve both present needs and future generations. In 2020, he founded MCG (Mentor Consulting Group) with a vision to redefine consultancy and construction management in Egypt and the Middle East. Under his leadership, MCG has grown into a trusted partner for governments, institutions, and the private sector, delivering innovative, sustainable, and culturally respectful solutions across more than five countries

Beyond his technical achievements, Dr. Shawky is deeply committed to preserving heritage, advancing sustainability, and mentoring future generations of engineers and consultants.

In 2020 Prof.Dr.Ashraf founded MCG (Mentor Consulting Group) with a new vision for construction that aims to correspond to the fast development process that is witnessed in Egypt in all fields. Through developing the traditional methods of project management and using new technologies in construction processes MCG is cooperating with its partners and project stakeholders to deliver megaprojects with maximum efficiency without affecting our amazing culture and heritage.
With our team of designers, engineers, programmers and technicians,.. we are proud to deliver our clients prestigious quality in over 5 countries. We operate in four offices in Egypt along with our construction teams working in projects all over the Middle East to satisfy all our clients’ needs.
We managed over 200 projects which includes new cites, renovation of old cities, airports, hospitals, residential buildings, power plants, factories and infrastructure networks
